Available in three grades, Terra, Luna and Sol, the new Yaris has made significant leaps forward from its predecessor, providing an even more spacious and interior and bigger boot space, a clear step-up in sensory quality and a segment breakthrough in affordable multimedia connectivity – all while remaining one of the most compact B-segment cars on the outside.

Toyota Ireland is proud to announce the new 3rd generation Yaris, available in Ireland now, from only €14,670.

The new Yaris has been engineered to enhance every aspect of the driving experience, with a particular focus on agility and safety and features Electric Power Steering, 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electonic Brakeforce Distribution and Break Assist, as standard on all grades. A sound insulating acoustic windscreen, new aerodynamic door mirrors and a single wiper blade make for a much quieter ride with reduced wind, road and engine noise.

Exterior Design Highlights
With a 15mm wider front, the Yaris has a bolder, more dynamic and elegant design that offers improvements in both rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency and is the first vehicle to feature the distinctive new face of the next generation Toyota family. The Yaris features new 15” alloy wheel designs, and will be available in a choice of 10 exterior colours. Bringing a more colourful palette to the Yaris, five colours are newly adopted by the model range, and two – Dark Champagne and Marine Blue are newly developed.

Roomy Interior Design
Despite its compact exterior dimensions, passenger accommodation aboard the new Yaris has not been compromised. Wheelbase length has been increased by 50 mm and interior width by 30 mm, resulting in increased passenger space of 63%. The high-quality interior includes air vents trimmed with gun metal finish, and the controls and switchgear feature chrome plated convex cross-sections.

Toyota Touch
Fitted as standard on the new Yaris Luna and Sol grades is the Toyota Touch, a 6.1 inch full colour, touch screen interface which represents a new approach to affordable, on-board multimedia systems. It incorporates AM/FM radio, a CD/MP3 player, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity with a music streaming facility, and automatic phonebook synchronisation at each connection. A USB port allows for the connection of portable music players, with the facility to display iTunes album cover art.

On-screen vehicle information displays include remaining fuel range, instant fuel consumption and average fuel consumption per minute over the last 15 minutes. In addition, the system incorporates a rear view camera, fitted as standard. From November, 2011 Sol drivers can add an optional satellite navigation system.

Engine Options
The Yaris is available with a choice of three engines; 1.0 and 1.33 litre VVT-I petrol engines and a 1.4 litre D-4D turbo diesel, all of which feature Toyota Optimal Drive, a range of engineering measure designed to maximise performance and driving enjoyment while minimising fuel consumption and generating low, tax-efficient CO2 emissions. The Yaris delivers 58.9 mpg combined cycle (1.0 litre VVT-i) with only 111 g/km CO2 emissions, giving it an annual road tax of only €104.
Commenting on the launch, David Shannon, Managing Director of Toyota Ireland said:
“The Yaris has already established a reputation for outstanding levels of quality, durability and reliability. The third generation Yaris that we’re launching today takes things to a whole new level and is truly representative of Toyota’s ongoing commitment to bring the best built cars in the world to the driving public.”
