Prius. Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive. Full Hybrid, Full Satisfaction
Launched in Japan in 1997 and in Europe in 2000, the first generation Prius was the world's first mass-produced full hybrid vehicle. A brilliant work in progress, three generations of the car have seen significant improvements to successive evolutions of Toyota's full hybrid drivetrain. The 2012 Prius features some subtle changes to the exterior design and some additional interior specification. It’s redesigned front bumper now feature’s DRL’s (Day-Time Running Lamps) as standard and a new larger lower grille and fog light design. The 2012 Prius now features the ‘Toyota Touch’ multimedia system which offers a 6.1 inch colour touch screen, Bluetooth and rear view camera all as standard. It also feature a USB port (located in the centre console) which allows you connect your MP3 device or play music directly from a USB key, a feature unique for Toyota models and something not offered by many competitors.
